GingerMay wins Gold at 2019 Stevie® Awards

GingerMay has won a prestigious Gold Stevie® Award in the Achievement in Promoting Work-Life Balance category.

Since the B2B PR agency was founded in 2010, the team has worked tirelessly to create and foster a company culture that champions flexibility and supports a work-life balance for all employees. Today, over two-thirds (68%) of GingerMay staff choose to work part-time, flexi-hours, or from home, and this approach is credited with enabling GingerMay to reap the rewards of a senior leadership team that is both 85% working parents and 85% female.

The Stevie® Awards are the world’s premier business awards, with the Women in Business competition the top honour for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees, and the organisations they run. Following a submission of over 1,500 entries from both organisations and individuals across 25 nations, in more than 90 categories, the tough criteria was whittled down. GingerMay’s Founder and CEO, Victoria Usher, also participated as a judge in numerous categories, excluding GingerMay’s own.

Judges for the Stevie® Awards for Women in Business had the following to say about GingerMay’s submission:

  • “I am absolutely envious that some people get to work in a company that cares for them on this level and I wish that it would be more common. This is the perfect example that you can have a thriving company that still invests greatly in the well being of its employees.”
  • “This organisation is transforming the world of PR and creating an atmosphere that is sustainable for all employees, not just women, and ensuring they only take on a workload their employee base can handle. GingerMay recognises that its employees are its greatest assets and of little use if they are exhausted and personally unfulfilled. Success can be obtained with a senior leadership team comprised primarily of women with a workforce working flexible hours from home. They have demonstrated a company can achieve profitable growth while allowing flexible working arrangements.”

The award win follows a number of global accolades for GingerMay, including B2B PR Agency of the Year and PRCA Industry Leader of the Year.
